How we make a difference

The non-profit connection

The non-profit connection is the place where leaders can connect around justice issues that concern our constituents. The non-profit connection works as a hub for areas of information from technology to transforming communities thru policy changes.  here non-profit leaders, pastors and community stakeholders can also find a safe space to share best practices as well as needs and challenges, Our ultimate goal is to create collaborations

Hope Excel reaching the World Academy

Hope Excel is our private school where children are taught that there is greatness within them. We believe the key to our success is being a moral voice in the life of these children.

Queens with Gems

The Queens with Gems program is a job readiness program designed to assist mothers with three or more children. With more and more single mothers being required to do more to support their families, we are here to assist them in overcoming the barriers that keep them from having a successful and productive life.

Community Healing Resource Center

The Community Healing Resource Center provides holistic healing services and trauma informed
care to people impacted by gun violence and other forms of violence, directly or indirectly free of charge.

Our model not only serves victims of violent crimes and their families but the entire community as well. We know that everyone who resides in the community is impacted by the trauma of violence.

Freedom School Network

FREEDOM SCHOOLS PROVIDE A RESEARCH-BASED, MULTICULTURAL CURRICULUM DURING THE SUMMER AND/OR SCHOOL YEAR TO IMPROVE OUTCOMES FOR LOW-INCOME STUDENTS

Illinois' Freedom Schools network will be the first in the nation to receive state funding. Freedom Schools began in the 1960s to provide quality education for all students, to motivate civic engagement, and to empower disenfranchised communities. The renowned curriculum of Freedom Schools allows students of all ages to experience a new and liberating form of education that directly relates to the imperatives of their lives and communities. Freedom Schools around the country continue to demonstrate the intergenerational effects and proven benefits of civic engagement by providing students with instruction that fosters confidence, critical thinking, and social-emotional development.
